How To Use the Urban Oasis
We strive to maintain our facilities to the highest quality, but it also requires our guests to adhere to our entry policies to optimise the facilities operations and maintain the high level of hygiene at all times.
It is a requirement that all guests shower and scrub their skin (without the use of soap) before using any Urban Oasis facility.
With the Urban Oasis facility, you can cycle through the facilities at your leisure, or use our specially curated protocols based on your needs, be it to just relax, rejuvenate, or recover.
Refrain from wearing makeup, sunscreen, oils, perfume, or antiperspirant (as this will interfere with the pH balance of the magnesium spa/ice bath and will prevent your body from sweating out toxins & for the infrared light to penetrate through your skin effectively in the sauna).

Infrared Sauna LED Chromotherapy
LED Chromotherapy helps with Homeostasis, which is when the body maintains a stable internal environment or psychologically when, under varying stressors, the person maintains a stable mental state.

FAQs
Urban Oasis Etiquette
All guests must shower well using the washcloth/Konjac sponge that is provided before using any Urban Oasis facility.
Do not wear make-up, body lotions, deodorant, or freshly applied fake tan before using the Urban Oasis facilities as these interfere with the water quality in the spa and ice bath.
Please keep voice levels to a minimum to preserve the sense of tranquillity.
Staff reserve the right to stop the treatment at any time if she/he feels that the guests behaviour is inappropriate.
Bathing costumes are to be worn at all times in the Thermal Therapy Urban Oasis.
Guests are advised not to consume alcohol prior to use of the facilities.
Guests are not to bring their own food or drinks (except a water bottle)
It is not advised to use the OASIS (or to have massage treatments) following waxing.
Please do not shave, wash, or use any other products within the spa.
Do not use the magnesium spa if you have recently dyed hair.
Guests are advised to drink plenty of water whilst using OASIS equipment.
Smoking is not permitted on the premises.
This is an adult [18+] facility.
Do not tamper with the facilities/equipment. Please ask one of our friendly holistic concierge staff for help if needed.

Please be a considerate guest. You play an important part in creating and maintaining the tranquillity you will find at NOVA Holistic Spa.
It is a requirement of the Communal Thermal Therapy Urban Oasis for clients to respect others who are using the space. Do NOT stay in any one OASIS facility for longer than 30mins at a time during a communal session. This communal space is used on a rotational basis.

Who shouldn’t use the Urban oasis facilities
For your health and the health of all our guests, individuals who have a pacemaker, a defibrillator, low or high blood pressure, are menstruating, pregnant, incontinent, or under the influence of alcohol cannot enter our Urban Oasis facility. Individuals under the age of 14 or those reliant on oxygen tanks will not be permitted. If you have any chronic health condition it is always best to seek medical advice from your Doctor before booking an Urban Oasis session

Does Thermal Therapy Burn Calories?
Regularly participating in a thermal therapy session increases & lowers your heart rate as your body is exposed to extreme hot and cold temperatures which naturally increases your metabolic. While there is no clear cut scientific evidence on whether contrast therapy actively assists with effective weight loss, it certainly does burn off calories due to the increased heart rate and the effects of the temperature change on your body.
How Often Should Thermal Therapy Be Done?
Once a month should suffice and if you choose a healthy lifestyle the benefits on your body should last until your monthly top up.
What Do I Need To Bring?
Your own flip flops or slippers. Swimming togs must be worn @ all times. In the interest of reducing land fill we don’t provide disposable spa slippers anymore. However, you can purchase a pair of reusable ones from us for only $10 for you to use for your Nova Spa visits.
What Is the Minimum Age?
We are an adults only day spa. However, we do allow from ages 16 and above upon request.
When Is The Best Time To Start Thermal | Contrast Therapy?
A hot and cold water immersion should not be done sooner than 48 hours after an injury. Waiting for 72 hours would be ideal. Those in good physical health, however, can begin this procedure at any time and enjoy the overall benefits.
Who Should NOT Do Thermal | Contrast Therapy?
You should not do thermal therapy if you suffer from the following:
Open or infected wounds of less than 48hours old
Diabetes
High blood pressure
Untreated epilepsy
